South Jersey Wedding - Scotland Run Golf ClubThis was a wonderful wedding right from the beginning. I started the day at this couples lovely home where they breed horses. Mike and Natalia love their home and they wanted to incorporate the farm into their wedding photos. Their farm is nestled in Franklinville, New Jersey. As she planned her wedding, her heart was set on having a Country Style Vintage wedding, which she had planned for all year long. Before heading to the venue we started the day by photographing the bride as prepared herself for the wedding. It’s part of the day that I truly enjoy photographing. There are so many opportunities to photograph the bride as she interacts with her bridesmaids and her immediate family. I also take my time to photograph all the details that the bride and groom have meticulously selected for their wedding. As soon as I finished with the getting ready portion of the day, I took the bride outside where we eager to have photos taken out at the stable. I love how her wedding gown flowed as she walked through the yard. Here, I captured the bride as she interacted with her horse. The streaming light coming from the entryway, gave this photo the light and dimension I was hoping to get. This photo is simply beautiful. I wanted to give this image a classic look so I converted the photo to a black and white image. I just love the tonality the conversion gives me. Her facial expression was wonderful. I used my 24-70mm lens to capture this photograph. It allowed me to keep my distance, but yet allowed me to capture the entire scene. The candid and documentary-style nature of this photo is what I was after. ..The bride was looking forward to having portraits taken of her and her bridesmaids outside near a vintage pickup truck and the stable where her horses are kept. The photos that were captured outside were absolutely stunning. From the wedding gown, to her wonderful smile to the interaction with her horses, I was able to capture absolutely beautiful photographs. Some photos were converted to black and white, giving it a classic and timeless look, while others were slightly retouched and the colors were enhanced. When we were finished with the getting ready portion of the day, our next stop was Scotland Run Country Club, a spectacular venue located in Williamstown, New Jersey. This venue has a beautiful Wedding Pavilion and Garden overlooking the grounds. It’s such a perfect location for an outdoor ceremony. The spacious and well-maintained landscape at Scotland Run has a beautiful pergola. It’s one of our favorite locations where we place our couples. It is covered with flowering wisteria and the winding brick walkway adds to the charm of it all. The vast number of seasonal flowers also adds a touch of color and vibrancy to every photograph. We also can’t forget the tranquil pond with its waterfall that is nestled next to the Pavilion. It’s another location that I enjoy using as a background. Once we're finished photographing couples outside, we head back into the ballroom, which is extremely spacious and beautiful. I love the stunning view it offers, overlooking the amazing scenic golf course. As the sun sets, we spend time outside capturing stunning photos of the skyline, which vary may in color, depending on the weather. The evening hours adds to the mood and dimension of every photo we capture. Every time we photograph a wedding at Scotland Run, we try to explore new locations and vanish points where we can create beautiful and unique photographs for our clients.
